How do I make the register button more visible.

I have asked a few users (friends) that registered on my site how they find my forum and a few of them have said they struggled to find the register button intially.

Please how do I make this button more obvious so that interested people don't get frustrated and leave without registering.

I guess that there is a way to do this using NAML... but I can't help there.

In the mean time perhaps you could put a comment in large text in the description...
Select Options > Application > Edit name and description AND Change appearance.

Not positive but I think the NAML Macro is

register_link

it looks like this:

<macro name="register_link" dot_parameter="text" parameters="title">
    <a href="[n.register_path /]" title="[n.title/]" rel="nofollow"><n.default to="[t]Register[/t]" text="[n.text/]"/>
</macro> 

you could take the [t]Register[/t] and put it in ALL CAPS  [t]REGISTER[/t] or maybe [t]REGISTER HERE[/t]

?

Or put it in bold, or make it an h3 tag?

i tried that but didn't work and then i did some digging around. The macro I needed to change was js_header_functions. So I am sorted now!

It's always good practice to give the full path to a macro, to save people from having to hunt for it.

To be honest I can't remember!

Not on my forum now so will have to check later but I remember I searched for header in the macro search and it brought up the js_header... as one of the options.
