HOW DO I MAKE A FORUM IM REALLY CONFUSED!!!!

I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT FORUMS AND I BEEN TRYING TO LEARN MORE ABOUT IT AND MORE ABOUT NABLE 2, BUT ITS NOT WORKING FOR ME. CAN ANYONE TEACH ME THE BASIC STUFF ABOUT MAKING A FORUM PLEASE!

I also don't know the difference between the a sub forum and a sub forum
Any basic stuff about forums would be great.
