hi there,
I have embedded the Nabble Forum on my Weebly website. I have clicked on OPTIONS > APPLICATIONS > EXTRAS & ADD ONS > RESPONSIVENESS And I have ticked on both the options, 1. Responsive Layout ( BETA ) 2. Better New Post Interface for Mobile Users but checking the Nabble Forum on my mobile device, it's 1/3 cut ( cropped ) on the right of the screen... Can you please help ? I am not a coder / programmer... otherwise, I won't be on Weebly... I have read through similar earlier threads... and I am not able to comprehend it. Can you please assist me, in a very step-by-step and easy-to-understand manner ? Please. |
Unfortunately, at the moment, there is not a complete answer to this problem.
Most pages on most of Nabble's applications, depend on tables, i.e. where content is set up to appear in rows and columns. It means that on pages which list topics, items that display under the headings like: "Sub-Forums & Topics", "Replies", "Last Post" and "Views" must be displayed side by side. The same goes for most other pages, even those just displaying the message (because of the headers that appear above each message, which are designed to display: Author, Date, Subject, Reply, Threaded, More, etc). Another important factor is the site in which the forum is embedded as that too can have a major impact on the space available for the the embedded forum to appear, but assuming that your site allows the full width of the screen to be used for your forum, there may not be much you can do to improve things at this stage.

One more thing, but a long shot - if you think your particular issue is not related to the columnar structure of Nabble's applications then it might help if you could provide some screen shots.

hi there, Greg,
thanks for your attention. Between the 2 options, Tal.ki & Nabble... Tal.ki does not reply to emails, but it's mobile device friendly with alot of restrictions... Nabble has an active support, which is great. I was hesitant on subscribing because I was worried if it's web support was like Tal.ki's... apparently not. BUT I really need forums to be mobile device friendly. The changing demographics demands that as most people spend them on their ipad and what not, then on desktops, as company desktops may be blocked of internet access, for folks working in banks, etc ( commonly ). Please drive the mobile-device compatibility through, I assume you are related to Nabble? Then, I would be all ready to be a paid subscriber... I left the "Alert Me by Email", so when this turns into a YES, WE CAN, from your end, you have my dollar. God Speed + B E S T |
No! As my sig suggests, I'm just a satisfied user. Having said that as mobile becomes more vital Nabble are showing signs of being slow to respond, which is a shame as I still find their tool the most flexible and customisable of any embeddable forum.

wow... thanks.
that's v kind of u, to be helping out. I am sticking to tal.ki at the moment, though support is non-existent. seriously, they need to know, to earn money, they have to show what they can do first. to have something that is not mobile-device enabled is to live in stone age... I hate tal.ki more, but it solves the problem, though somewhat a stop-gap dirty-fix measure. |
