Hi,
I work with the GeoTools project, a open source project under the OSGeo umbrella. Many of the OSGeo mailing lists are archived here at Nabble, and have been recently moved from one server to another.
Unfortunately searching Google for "geotools nabble" still points to the old address, which is no longer live, this is tripping people into thinking the mailing list is malfunctioning.
Is there anything you can do to help search engines to update the address? Maybe the old addres could be setup to redirect to the new one, maybe with a HTTP 301 code (moved permanently)?
Re: Google still directing people to old OSGeo forums
Hi,
we put your link in our homepage http://www.nabble.com/ , in this way , google will find faster your new address.
Besides that, we are working to fix the "page not found" at the old address.
