Forums with subforums closed to non members.

I have a forum that is open only to members. Within that forum I have a subforum that is open only to IT"S OWN members. So that if Mary Smith is a member of the main forum but not the subforum she can view the main forum but not the subforum.

This works correctly except that the main forum page which shows a list of subforums is displaying topics from this subforum to Mary Smith that she should not be seeing. If she clicks on the topic she gets the Authorized Users Only screen but I don't want her to be able to see any topics listed from that subforum.

Is this a bug?

Resolved this:

On main forum:  Options - Editory - Change Application Type
                        Choose "Category"

This show main forum as a simple list of subforums without topics.


But it does seem that one should be able to use the other Application types without revealing topics to unauthorized users.

This bug was fixed recently. So you can use the Mixed type and the private sub-forum won't be displayed on the front page.
