Although personal material in a prior incarnation of http://science-fiction-nexus-survivor-s-group.1055300.n5.nabble.com/ (previously titled as scifi-nexus.com, a copyright-infringed, bona fide operational website, but same Nabble address) was removed and the site name slightly changed, defamatory material is still being posted, and vicious and threatening cyberharassment continues. I would respectfully ask that a Nabble administrator audit the site for abuse as indicated by US Code 18 Section 2261A & 2261B; and CA Penal Code(s) SEC.3.Section 422; SEC.4.Section 646.9(e); SEC.5. Section 653.2, 653M; and, CA Civil Code 1708.7. It is illegal and threatening behavior that is hurting and frightening those to whom the malicious posting is directed. We would ask that Nabble act swiftly and concisely to prohibit this from continuing.

We can't step in and judge who is right and who is wrong and what should be the penalties for each part about whatever it is you are discussing there.
If people are offending one another and/or violating copyrights, please, report the offending topics specifically as we can't go through every message of the forum reading them all.

I understand your position, but by definition, cyberharassment is a collection of actions. I don't expect you to legally ascertain standing, however, are you not guided by your Terms of Use?
The following threads (I don't recall any thread being more than two to five posts) are demonstrative of my original point. 1. http://science-fiction-nexus-survivor-s-group.1055300.n5.nabble.com/SciFi-Nexus-com-explained-td4734646.html - cyberharassment, libel, and threats. 2. http://science-fiction-nexus-survivor-s-group.1055300.n5.nabble.com/Sabella-s-grandiose-claims-are-laughable-td4724067.html - cyberharassment, libel, and threats. Reposting of my personal comment from a private forum at another site, without my permission -- not once, but twice (copyright infringement). 3. http://science-fiction-nexus-survivor-s-group.1055300.n5.nabble.com/Its-shocking-Really-it-is-They-are-the-stalkers-not-anyone-else-td4723839.html - cyberharassment, libel, threats |
I couldn't find any threat. They did not say that they were going to do anything against anyone. They are saying something that "may happen" as far as I could understand. About cyber harassment, well, they were not talking to you. You were not participating on the topics and they were just expressing their opinions. If they crossed any line it is not up to me to judge.
Also it is not up to me to judge if the libel is true or not. Imagine for a second that you are not on your position, you are on a third party place. How can you say if they are talking the truth or if they have any proof of whatever thing you think is defamatory? I can't just go erasing peoples discussions on request of other people. It would be different if they send you a message threatening to do something against you or bullying you or anything like that or if we had a court order to do that. Anyway I will take your complaint to the rest of the Nabble team to discuss it and see what we can do for you and to be sure we do whatever you can as long as we are working within the limits of our responsibilities.

Thank you, Peter, but that won't be necessary.

I spoke too soon. He is again using our domain name. Aren't there rules against that? Or can anyone come to Nabble and simply take what they wish, regardless of ownership? It's bad enough that he's using our avatars and posting things that would falsely appear to an outsider to be originating from some of our forum members -- but can't we do something about him using the domain name? This is becoming very hurtful (and that is what he intends) to our legitimate site. Isn't there anything in your terms of service that would at least prevent this, or am I going to have to get you a court order?

What do you mean by "using domain name"?
Did he stole your domain name? The same domain pointing to your site is now taking users to his site?
