First Look so nice but confused

This post was updated on .
Im new to Nabble I found out how to embedd the forum to my blog but the problem is that im trying to create something like this: http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/   and I can't.

Im trying change appearance and parent-sub forums options and I mess everything. Im trying to make exactly as above. Also, is there an add-on or something that:

- Show a box of people on the forum and place it on the bottom( http://support.nabble.com/Nabble-Latest-Features-f1559156.html)

- Remove the Created by ''My Name''

- Add my own icons to topics instead of those folder icons

- No email verification after registration.

Thanks in advance.

The example is no simple forum, but rather a large archive of mail lists. Do you really want that in forum embedded in a blog?

I think you'll find that the top level application is "Mixed" with the "OSGeo Foundation" application set as "Forum" with sub-forums also set as "Forum", while "OSGeo Software and Data Projects" is set as a "Category" application - but I could be wrong!

Also, is there an add-on or something that:
Customising of a Nabble application is done by editing the NAML that generates any page. See:
http://naml.nabble.com/
- Show a box of people on the forum and place it on the bottom( http://support.nabble.com/Nabble-Latest-Features-f1559156.html)
To move the "People" item in the sidebar of the "Newspaper" application will require you to edit NAML inorder to place it elsewhere.
- Remove the Created by ''My Name''
Again, you need to edit the NAML for that page. I'm sure a step-by-step answer for that has been posted on this forum. Try a search
- Add my own icons to topics instead of those folder icons
Same again.
- No email verification after registration.
I'm not clear what you mean!

As forum owner the default is NOT to receive notification when someone registers. However you can turn on notification at:
Options > Application > Extras & Add-ons > EMail and Notification > Notify me when someone registers

A user MUST prove that they have submitted a valid email address to register by clicking a link in an email sent to the address registered. If you are not concerned about having valid email addresses, then why have your users register in the first place? You can always leave your application at the default, that allows "Anyone" to post.

Thanks for reply, about the coding it won't be that hard i guess i know how to do it a bit, About the Forum still I can't create this, I get OSGeo Foundation as Subcategories. Do I need to create parent. Im so confused. Can I have a step by step on how to get the first part( from OSGeo Foundation to OSGeo Software...)

Also, is it the Start a Free Forum to create as above or the Start a Mailing list.

Just create sub-forums and set them to the appropriate application type.
