I've noticed that there's no way to tell which sub-forum was posted to (or if it was even posted to a sub-forum) if you use the forum through email subscription.
My suggestion is to add some tag on there (I would hope at the beginning of the body, although the end of it would be a lot better than nothing) saying which forum it was in.
