Email subscription cascades to sub-forums?

Hi,

If you subscribe to a top-level forum, do you get email notification for all new messages in sub-forums too? This seemed to be working, but some email messages seem to be missing from recent posts on a sub-forum.

When you subscribe at the top level you should get mail for posts in all sub-forums.

However, the subscription options can affect how much mail you get:

xxxx Forum
[ ] Receive every message posted in the forum.
[ ] Receive new topics only.

Subscription Format
[ ] Individual emails (you can reply by email)
[ ] Daily digest

If you checked #2 rather than #1 then you won't see any replies. That might be why you thought it was working, but now you realise you are not seeing the replies?

Thanks for the clarification. I did have option 2 enabled, but I definitely haven't been receiving new topic messages. I have now switched to "Receive every message posted to the forum" to see whether that works. I'll let you know how that goes.
