Duplicate user names

Many of my users seem inadvertently to have created multiple avatars and duplicate user names (one member has managed to clone herself a dozen times). But I'm sure they're using the same email addresses. All appear when I click on 'People'. How is this possible? How can I rationalise their appearances to just one each, before they populate the known Nabble universe? You can see what I mean at: http://writers-village-forum.213250.n3.nabble.com/

Those duplicated users are all "unregistered" accounts. So those users didn't finish the Nabble registration process and posted without login information. They probably have their browsers set to delete cookies after each session. Maybe you should just change your forum and let only registered users post (see Options > Users > Who can view & post?). I can merge those accounts when those users have a registered account available (for example, JannerOverseas doesn't have a registered account yet).
