Domain mess

Der Flatulator6
This post was updated on .
A while back, I changed the domain of a site with an embedded Nabble forum from http://derflatulator.com/ to http://halo4ger.com/.

Recently I noticed that permalinks in a specific sub-forum (which is embedded on a different page on halo4ger.com) was broken. The permalinks (which resolve to n4.halo4ger.com -> n4.nabble.com) redirect to my old domain instead.

Additionally, log ins seem to be broken for that sub forum, and the "View more" button appears instead of loading content.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Also, I have lost all edit and administrative privileges...

You should change the redirect option (Options > Embedding settings). If you can't access this menu, please post a link to the sub-forum and we will take a look.

I am sure you have a javascript error on the page. Please open the error console and fix the error.

Ok, thanks, I fixed the permalink issue.

However whenever I change my domain from the default (something like halo-4ger.n4.nabble.... ) to n4.halo4ger.com, I get Javascript errors, such as this:

I have to use the revert macro from the automatic email to fix it.

Please make sure you are using the latest embedding snippet in your HTML page. You can go to the "Options > Embedding settings" to get it. I believe your current snippet points to the old domain. Is this the case?

Current snippet, points to my n4 sub-domain.
<a id="nabblelink" href="http://n4.halo4ger.com/">Der Flatulator</a>
<script src="http://n4.halo4ger.com/embed/f3876804"></script>

I can't access the embedding options pane after I switch the domain to a custom, due to the JS errors.
I have it set to the default at the moment.

Now you can access your forum from here: http://halo4ger-forum.2301779.n4.nabble.com/
Some steps you can follow (in order):
1) Change the domain name;
2) Get the new embedding snippet and put it in your HTML page;
3) Set the redirect option.
