I created a test-member and have there after deleted the account again. But under "People" the test-member still is showing as a unregistrated/deactivated. How is this member to be removed?
MY PROBLEM IS SIM. I HAVE A MEMBER WHO IS UNREGISTERED. I WANT TO DELETE SO SHE CAN START OVER AGAIN WITH A DIF. EMAIL. THE ONE SHE USED IS HAVING PROBLEMS. HOW DO I DO THAT WITHOUT BANNING HER? WE WANT HER NAME AND EMAIL TO MATCH OUR HOME SITE AND WE DO NOT WANT TO IN-BED. THANK YOU, MUSECONNIEHUES
I WOULD LIKE TO DO IT WITHOUT USING THE BAN FUNCTION. SHE ONLY HAS ONE EMAIL AND CANNOT USE ANOTHER. I WANT TO MAKE IT LIKE SHE NEVER REGISTERED., THANKS FOR ANYTHING YOU CAN TELL ME. CONNIE
It would be nice to have an answer every now and again! Surely this can't be that difficult to answer - it is either 'you do this' or 'it can't be done' what is it please?
Here is the solution:
(1) Go to "Options > Users > Manage users & groups" and create a new group (e.g., "hidden_users") and add the user to that group.
(2) Then go to "Options > Users > Change permissions" and make sure that the new group doesn't have the "Show_group_members" permission set.
Thanks Hugo - does not seem to work for me though as the user is still shown in the Authenticated group (which you can't change). If I deselect the Authenticated group then all of the names disappear apart from Admin.
