Deadlines for capturing Folder before its Wiped

autre
This post was updated on .
Hey... ii was given an ultimatum yesterday to get my things before the are cleaned out of the archive... How can I do that when i am not given access to the area which is purely my writing... it was locked up when there was some transition or migration made and i was never given access again... i need to get my own page or at least start a new nabble site for these writings and my work... i tried to start a site earlier called brycc house but it didnt work out or something... so i made a new site this morning

can you drop my work in here:  http://brycc.970341.n3.nabble.com/Archive-for-Working-Items-f1679321.html

here is the addy where my writings are locked down without access:

http://johnny-depp-news-forum.5273284.n2.nabble.com/Books-and-Literature-Come-Alive-Crossing-the-Literary-Divide-with-Depp-f5384922.html

bottom line is the community where this lives doesnt make for a perfect fit with my commentary and view of the subject that we enjoy at times and it seems like i might need to 'evolve'.... yesterday i had some review by Nabble support which erased a bit of unsavory commentary... i have repeatedly asked for access to this folder and feel that it only courteous that i have my writings back before they are erased... let me know how i can get around the soft shoe on this one...

thanksl...

the other folder where i have things posted is a gallery and i cannot get in their either...

here is that addy:   http://johnny-depp-news-forum.5273284.n2.nabble.com/template/TplServlet.jtp?tpl=unauthorized&node=5361542

I think i will go architect a new forum for my own purposes separate from this subject but purposefully so that you can simply transfer the data elsewhere is a hidden folder and then I can manage it at my own leisure.... i have been transferring it to an old proboards site somewhat successfully save for the visual media but now its coming down to some hour today and i am honestly booked with work and cannot get access... so let me know... thanks...

Ok... so i have done everything within my power to get all my writings back ....  Now I have created my own area to receive these writings and would like to manage them freely myself... can you help??

here is the new site addy where the folder/folders and be sent...
http://brycc.970341.n3.nabble.com/

as a matter of fact... is it possible to just relocate this entire folder for me... and give me access to the areas in it... I promise that its all mine and was mine as a moderator at that site at one time...

here is the entire enchilada  http://johnny-depp-news-forum.5273284.n2.nabble.com/Thee-Radical-Eclectic-Commentary-amp-Questions-f5381419.html

so... yeah
thanks

Let's go one step at a time. I checked that forum and authors are allowed to view their posts. So you should be able to view your posts there. The problem is that you can't view the forum front page and thus cannot navigate to your posts. So please try this: login to that forum and click on the upper right menu dropdown and select "My Posts". You should see a list with all your posts. Try to open them and let me know if you have issues.

Note that if your posts ever get deleted, you will receive them by email. This was implemented by Nabble because we care about our users and we want to give them a chance to save their contents.

hey... still cant view those particular posts ... maybe they are locked in Nabble 1 framework???

second thing... in signing up for new nabble forum we decided to try to have a mailinglist but when we went through the links to get a mailing list it turned out to be just a forum or something... how do we used 'build a mailinglist' so that we can enter the email addys for our community online and mail to them... not sure that i understand how to install database if thats the issue

thanks... k

I see the issue. That administrator changed the permissions so that only admins can view that sub-forum. I will discuss this with the Nabble team because I think you should have a way to get your posts back, even if the forum administrator wants to hide those contents from you.

Our forums (and all other apps) have a built-in mailing list. So if you click on "Options > Subscribe via email" and confirm the subscription, you will receive new topics and replies by email. The forum interface will be there for those that like it, but people can participate through emails only. If someone replies to an email sent by the forum, the reply will be archived and threaded correctly.

We will work on a solution to this problem soon. The idea is that you should go to your profile (where all your posts are listed) and click on whatever post you want and it should show either the thread (if you have access to it), or the message body (if the thread is not accessible). Please give us a few weeks before we can implement this. I will let you know when this is available.

Big Big  question... legality...  How do we take our web domain name back from someone?  We were notified that the date runs out this december and our board of directors for our non-profit does not want the other folks to grab and block... any set of steps or best folks to contact??  Also... still have no access to my files at the Johnny Depp Nabble site...

oh the joy of being the 'bigger person' and looking for the best solutions... right?  thanks in advance... kristin

We implemented this solution. So you should go to your profile (where all your posts are listed) and click on whatever post you want and it should show either the thread (if you have access to it), or the message body (if the thread is not accessible). Please try that and let me know if you still have issues.
