Content of adverts

This post was updated on .
Is it possible to have the content of the adverts directed towards forum/blog content, rather than towards searches and location?

I do not regard adverts as 'competition', but rather a good reason to buy mine! My products are better than those that are currently available online, so if potential customers notice this whilst they are still on my website, then they may be more inclined to buy mine...

I don't see that that Nabble can control that, and perhaps, Adsense doesn't quite work in the way you suggest. Google's AdChoices page says:
Google wrote
While Google often shows you ads based on the content of the page you are viewing, we also show some ads based on the types of websites you visit, view, or where you interact with an ad or other Google product supported by Google’s advertising services.
This suggests that searches themselves are not used at all in the advert selection algorithm.

Google tries to match the ad to the content of the page but when it can't find anything on the same context it looks for user information so he can, at least, advertise something that might be interesting for the user.

Hmmm... So if I widen my page content, and meta tags, appropriately then I might get more website-relevant adverts...

It's not about the search.

It's about page content which is universal, and also about where you have been on the web.

In the second case, others will not see the ads you are seeing.

Harv... babe... I am daft, but not that bad!

Page content for my website etc is up to me... and what I put in stays put until I change it...

Ooooh... Can I remember my Philosophy:
Google uses page content.
I write page content.
Therefore Google uses my page content... my ideas, my knowledge, OR, in other words, what I want Google to see, and therefore what I think my visitors will search for...
