Colour in forum

Hi,
    I tried to get a bit of colour in my forum....  lavender...
hit the  box  etc, the colour appeared   but  could nt get to the  very bottom of the
window  where... I  suspect... was  a    save changes  box ?

I totally failed in my attempt to get some colour, my forum is still white.
