Change email

Hi,

I'm trying to change my email address from [hidden email] to [hidden email]. I've gone through My personal settings > Edit personal information > Change email and tried this, but when I put my new email in it says

Email already in use
Please enter a correct email address and click Change Email

What should I do?

Nabble has both emails in the database. Each email belongs to one user account. Here is what we can do:

1 - Your second email is not registered. Please register to activate this account.

2 - I can move all forums and messages from the first account to the second account.

Then you would be able to use the second account and forget the first and empty one. Is this ok?

I think this happened when I subscribed to a mailing list. I've removed my subscription now, though.

So I'd have all my old messages and posts and settings from my [hidden email] account on my new one? And I would then just continue to use [hidden email] as I was using my other one before? That would be perfect!

So do you mean that I need to register for the new address before you can migrate the posts?

No problem. You can keep that subscription if you want.

Yes, so please register with your second email and let me know. I will move the ownership of your forums and posts to the new account.

Hi,

I have similar problem. I have to accounts for two separate email addresses. I wanted to use one account but with the second email address.  I removed the unwanted account but Nabble is still treating the email like it's being in use. Now I can't  even sign in to the old account to change it.

What can I do with this?

Please, give your forum address and the account you want to use.
