Cannot unsubscribe.

Hi,

I've been trying to unsubscribe from the 'mono for android' mailing list for many months now without success. I've tried re-registering etc but nothing works (account phillip at CraftyLogic dot com).

Can someone please assist me as this is getting very inconvenient.

The link you posted is to a mailman list, not the Nabble archive of the list.

As you post your query here I wonder if you have you followed the instructions for unsubscription from the Nabble archive? See:

Thanks Greg. Same issues with the link you've supplied. The basic issue is that I cannot unsubscribe because the list doesn't think I'm subscribed!!!  Even though I still get messages. This is becoming very frustrating as I know I'm getting the messages...

I think there may be a misunderstanding somewhere.  There's a Mailman "list" and a Nabble "archive" of that list. You may be subscribed to both or only one. We need to find out which is sending you the unwanted mail.

Mail from the archive, i.e. Nabble, will have a from address in this form:

"GregChapman [via Mono for Android]" <[e-mail]>

Does it look something like this or something completely different?

If it's completely different then it's a Mailman issue and you need to approach the list owner about it.

If it does take the form above then confirm which of following actions/events have been completed:

# When you visit the page:
http://mono-for-android.1047100.n5.nabble.com/mailing_list/MailingListOptions.jtp?forum=4298622
does the screen show your USERNAME at the top right BEFORE you click the UNSUBSCRIBE button?
(Obviously, you need to be logged in for Nabble to know who wants to be unsubscribed.)

# Assuming you are logged in, after clicking the UNSUBSCRIBE button, do you receive an email from Nabble?

# Have you clicked the link in that email?
(This action is required to confirm that your address wasn't entered maliciously by someone else.)

# Clicking the link will display a page confirming that Nabble has removed your address from archive mailings.
Have you seen that page?
