Cannot establish any listening sockets

lewglenn
Running W7.  Typed X -multiwindow & got message above -- Make sure an Xserver isn't already running.
When I go to /var/log/xwin, the XWin.0.log listing is as follows:

ddxProcessArgument - Initializing default screens
winInitializeScreenDefaults - primary monitor w 1920 h 1080
winInitializeDefaultScreens - native DPI x 96 y 96
_XSERVTransSocketINETCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener<> failed
_XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: server already running

Fatal server error:
Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't already running
_________________________________________________________________
How do I fix this? As far as I can tell there is no X server already running.

Can you suggest where it should go?

Thanks.

No!

I assumed that you were aware of the right forum and just happened to click on the wrong link.

Your post was just too technical for me to even recognise the nature of the subject, let alone the topic.

I'm not 100% sure about it but you may try searching for Cygwin support.
