Cannot create mailing list

NopMap

Hello!

I am unable to create a new mailing list archive. I have done this several times before and never encountered these problems.

1. I am logged in, but when I want to create a ML archive I am asked for a new registration anyway.
2. When I go along and fill in everything, I just get an empty page after the form, Firebug reports a Javascript error.

Is something broken there?

bye

Registration is specific to each app from now on. You can find more details here:

Thanks a lot for reporting this bug. We fixed it, please try again now.

Re: Cannot create mailing list

After some serous additional registering I was now able to create the archive and I moved it to the other forums with the same context. Unfortunately, it does not work. As in: I registered it with the mailing list, but no mails are showing up in the forum.

I have registered quite a number of working mailing list archives with nabble so I think I am familiar with the procedure. But two of my archives will not show any mails while the others are working fine. It is "Mapnik dev" and "Potlatch dev" in the subforum http://gis.638310.n2.nabble.com/Tools-f4411269.html.

Could someone please check what is different/wrong with those two archives?

bye

Subscription for some "dev" archives usually depends on the administrator approval (since only developers can commit code and participate). Did you receive a "Welcome to list XXX dev" confirmation email for those archives?

Yes, I received a confirmation. And those lists are open to everybody with no prior approval required.

Please go to those archives and click on "Options > Mailing list settings". Then click on "subscription instructions" and send the subscription email again. Please let me know what kind of confirmation you will get in your inbox. If you realize that the archive was not subscribed, please subscribe it.

After repeating subscription it does work for one list (need to wait for messages on the other).

Is it possible that moving the forum to a different place did break the previous subscription?

I see. The other list had no server type set. So I changed it to mailman and sent the subscription request email. You will probably receive it in your inbox. Please confirm the subscription as soon as you see that email.

Yes. When a user moves a forum, the old archive must be unsubscribed and the new one subscribed.
