I have lost the ability to invite registered users of our forum, to subscribe to specific sections of the forum. It was working till today. Also, I was unable to access the selection where you could confirm the registration of a new member from the email. Please advise, thanks.

Do you really mean "today"? We all lost the "Invite Subscribers" module a while ago and instead see the message: If you want it back, post the URL of your forum here. Are you looking in the right place? It is unlikely that you would lose just that one function without noticing other options going missing. You should find it at: Options > Application > Extras & Add-ons > Email and Notifications. For both of these you need to be logged in under your Administrative username, of course. If you still have problems, post the URL of your forum here. Incidentally, you never responded to my reply on the issues that you posted about at: http://support.nabble.com/I-am-not-receiving-email-notification-td7580414.html Some of these appear similar.

Greg,
Thank you for taking the time to help me, and although your response is coming across with a rather irritated tone , I am sure you don't mean it . Let me see if i can clear up what I inquired about and why... Our all volunteer organization has gone through some massive changes internally over the past several months which required us to re-distribute responsibilities. As with most organizations, there is not a huge amount of volunteers waiting in the wings to help, so we worked with what we have. I have assumed several roles, one of which is temporary web coordinator. I am familiar with enough technology to get by, but I am by no means a wiz at this, so going forward, I am thanking you in advance for your understanding and patience. On to the problems... I wasn't aware that the invite feature was not available for a while because the last time I actually needed it, which was a few months ago, it was working fine. I did see the message, but wasn't clear about where to post it which was why i contacted you. Here is what i think you are looking for: http://www.licwi.org/discussion-forum.html Also, I am always, logged on under the Administrative username any time I use the forum, I have set it to log on that way automatically on my computer. As far as not responding to your other help...right after that post, I had begun to experience computer problems due to my computer overheating. And...along with losing emails and some data on my computer, although I tried with both explorer as well as firefox, I was unable to access the nabble forum again until recently. I checked and that selection is as it should be. I even re-saved it just to be safe. I hope all of this is what you needed to be able to help me. If you need anything else, just let me know. Once again, thank you for your time and understanding. ~Deborah |
I certainly didn't. Forgive me. (Sometimes I do post late at night, when I really should be tucked up in bed, and don't take as much care in formulating my replies as I should - but that's not really a valid excuse!) Well, it's really one of the Nabble Team you were writing to. I am just a user of their services who tries to help others. Now you've posted the URL of your forum, I'm sure one of them will be along to tell you they've added the "Invite Subscriber" module so you can use it again. If I'm understanding you right you are saying that your second query: is now resolved and turned out to be a computer problem. If I've misunderstood, let me know.
