Can't find my embeding code.

Butter44

My understanding is, I should have a options list? And it should be be there. But I don't have an options list.

If you are logged into your forum as an administrator then you should see a list of links towards the top of the forum:

New Topic | Topics View | People | Options

The item "Embedding Options" should be on the menu that appears when you select the last of these menu items.

What do you see on the menu under "Options"?

Sorry the question mark was because your reply was appearing as a blank.

How do I log in as an admin? I'm loged in, but I have none of the features you're talking about.

Thanks for the help.

If you are the person that created the forum then log in using the email address you used when creating the forum. You will then be a user with administrative rights.

Posting the URL of your forum might help us check if there is a problem.

Re: Can't find my embeding code.

I don't understand what is going on either!

"Old Nabble" is just that!   Old!

It hasn't been used for years and I didn't think anyone did use it for creating new forums.

Go to http://www.nabble.com/ and create your forum there.

I got it working now. But on my actual web page it wont let me log in. Is this normal? Its says I'm not registered.

But from here http://gnarly-yarns.12389.n6.nabble.com/ I can do everything normally.

No and no!

Give us the URL of your "actual web page".

If you have found the embedding code and your forum is now embedded in your "actual web page" both versions should reflect each other exactly, both in terms of appearance and function.

Re: Can't find my embeding code.

Well, everything looks pretty normal. Assuming you are working though just one computer and even a single browser, then if you manage to log on to one copy of the forum (perhaps the external one) then, having clicked the "Refresh" link, the embedded version should also be logged in. Similarly, if you then log out of the embedded version and refresh the external copy, that you should have appeared to logged out of that copy too.

Re: Can't find my embeding code.

I'm not skilled enough to understand all of those error messages. Often those errors, can be very temporary and frequently will not repeat themselves. Worth trying again.

It's 02:53 here and really is time I was in bed.

If you haven't cracked it by the time I wake, then I'll try to help then.

Hi,
Are you still having this problem? I've just registered in your forum, then I went in your "actual page" and It worked fine, I've logged correctly.

Re: Can't find my embeding code.

Hi Pedro,

I wonder if this is a problem of Weebly interacting with Nabble. We had similar reports recently from another Weebly user:
http://nabble-support.1.n2.nabble.com/Nabble-forum-links-on-website-not-live-td7237246.html#a7238775

EDIT: See also:
http://nabble-support.1.n2.nabble.com/Permission-changes-won-t-save-tp7365829p7365829.html
which appears to be a similar, and current, bug report.

If it's a problem of weebly, I think I should have had difficulties to log in. But I didn't.
