Can't change or make a Signature

Hi

I have a old time Registered viewer/poster - that was trying to change her signature - “Edit Your Signature” -
But it won’t take - can’t paste anything in the Edit box - plain text or HTML  ????

I tried a "test" screen name from long ago - I couldn’t change it either -

How can a Signature with a smiley be done?

I can't think of any reason for not being able to edit (including pasting) the contents of the "Edit Signiature " box. This shouldn't be something that needs cookies cleared or anything like that.

To add a graphic, you'll need to check the "Signature is in HTML format" box and paste in the URL of the graphic you wish to use. Smileys are a little easier!

I just made this my signature in a test forum I run:

Greg  <smiley image="smiley_beam.gif"/>

I got the code for the graphic by copying the code for a smiley that found by going to edit a post in my forum that included a smiley and pasting that code into the signature edit box.

That looks promising - will try that on my TEST Screen Name ----
But the Box in EDIT - should let ya change a Signature with or without using HTML code...
You'd think....

Ah! Second thoughts!  Yes I can!

The user could have multiple windows/tabs open in her browser and have logged out of the forum under one tab while still having the Edit Signature page open in another. Nabble would then regard the user as logged out, and would refuse any edits to the Edit Signature box.

Oops! I withdraw the comment on needing to have the HTML box checked. I was thinking of other more complex signatures. Adding a graphic in a Nabble forum post or signature does not need the HTML box checked.
