Automatic Deleting of topics / forum

Tadeg
Hi, I recently create a forum for the cycling club where I belong. I heard a few days of the automatic deletion of topics  now I have used the search tool to find support nabble more information about this but either outdated or not complete me clarify.
Before the forum continues to grow and to prevent further damage, I would like clarify
What should I know about automatic deletion?
What are the details that have to be taken into consideration to avoid it?
Is it possible to move the contents of the forum created to another forum (phpbb, vbulletin ...) without having to write it all again?
Thanks in advance and kind regards.

Hi,

Nabble warns forum administrators of the forthcoming deletion of forum contents when the areas of the forum mentioned in the email have not been visited for a long period. The assumption is that they contain nothing of interest to your current users.

To avoid receiving these warning messages just make sure all parts of your forum used regularly. For example, consider re-organising any sub-forums to give them a higher profile and refer to old posts (adding their permalink) in any new messages you post.

While you can always get Nabble to create a backup of your forum, (Options > Download backup) the file produced is only really intended for Nabble to restore old messages that have, for some reason, been deleted or corrupted. It would be difficult, and requires programming skills, to migrate the content to an alternative platform.

The message you get tells you when the forum content is scheduled for deletion. You have a few days to act.

When you click on the link in that message you should see a notice saying your forum content is no longer scheduled for deletion.

The only possible trouble is if the email gets treated as spam by your email provider and you miss the deadline.

Now, I will not go into panic if any topic is likely to be deleted, because now i know what to do or not.
