Are Nabble forum contents searched by Google?

I am putting massive content into my ten Nabble forums, each open to public inspection (although I may later choose to restrict post/reply to members). I do not want this content to be searched and archived by Google, as I intend to submit each topic later as an article to such sites as HubPages, which accept only 'original' content. (Moreover, I understand that Google penalises 'duplicate' content in its rankings.) Question: is the content of Nabble forums automatically searched and archived by Google, if the site which contains these forums is visible to Google? If so, how can I keep search spiders out of my Nabble forums?

Nabble forums are automatically indexed by google, except private ones (where only members can view and post). We are discussing internally the possibility of having a flag that administrators can easily set to prevent such indexing. I will let you know how it goes.

Oh, please do that! Contrary to the culture [sic] of Internet 'marketing millionaires', not everybody wants to have their restricted materials posted en flagrante at the top of a Google search page...
