App Type "Mixed" - how to suppress "New Topic"?

In application type "mixed", how can one suppress the link "New Topic" under each category?
Setting Permissions to read-only doesn't do it.
The "Smart Application" option in Options > Content > Extras doesn't help either.
Any ideas?

You'll need to edit the NAML code that generates that section of the page. A quick search suggests the right macro is: subapp_section_extra_row

Are you aware that each of those links gives you direct access to a new post in that particular sub-forum - so much quicker than waiting for the sub-forum to load and then clicking on New Topic there?
