Any recommendations to avoid Spam?

I have been reading up on Google's notes and they suggest that, where visitors can add their comments and links, we can prevent them from abusing our forums and blogs by using NOFOLLOWs and CAPTCHAs.

What would you recommend for Nabble?

Well... I think I've worked it out... it's just a matter of finding and doing...

Sign in as Administrator > Options > Users > Change permissions...

AND set most tasks to either Authenticated or Administrator... eg. while I'm experimenting, I have only allowed 'Everyone' to read Forum entries.

Then all the members on the Forum and Blog will be people that you have allowed to have access...

You won't get their IP addresses, but you will get their email addresses... perhaps from which you could obtain their IP addresses... various software can be found online.

Google Analytics sounds like it could be helpful too... but it seems soooo complicated!
