All Forum Messages Appear As Though Already Read (??)

JBWolverine
A few of the members of our forum have reported that the "highlighting" of new messages to the forum is not working and they are unable to tell the difference between messages they have read and ones that they have not.

I just entered the forum again and it appears that ALL of the messages (topics and posts under the topics) have just been read.

This problem of course is not a show-stopper, but at least I am reporting the issue.

TIA for your help

Do you have any code in the "Cascading Style Sheet (CSS)" box accessed via OPTIONS > EDITOR > CHANGE APPEARANCE?

Highlighting will appear by default but can be over-ridden by relevant code entered in that box.
Volunteer Helper - but recommending that users move off the platform!

Thanks for the response.  I looked over the section you pointed out and there has not been a change made in over a year.

No worries -  the "problem" was reported and as administrator I passed it along to NabbleSupport.

I do not think there is any of significance wrong and the members will have to adjust.  New (unread) posts still seem to be identify-able (sp?) and that is all that is needed.

Thanks again for your efforts

Hugo <Nabble>
Nabble now stores in the database which threads you have visited. We have a javascript code to paint the color of post links based on that information. Note that this only works if you are logged in. Some advantages are (1) if you use another computer, you will see the same link colors from your original computer, (2) if you clear your browser history, the Nabble history will be kept, etc.
