Forgive my ignorance because I just signed up and have not read through all of the threads, but in regards to the advertising. I understand that you as a website/company have to make money for your efforts. Instead of having random ads show up on peoples forums why not give them a way to sell advertising space for you and both parties could split the money. the forum creator and nabble. One of the reasons that I wanted to create a forum was for this purpose.
The other question is: is there a way to have my own advertising within my forum pages and create a link to my website? I am not a web developer. I know a little little bit about it, but have someone who is working on my site for me. I am going to link my forum to my site, but if people get straight to the forum they may not know that my website is behind it all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated to a newbee (to this site, forums, website design, etc) |

I think you'll find that the ads are not random. They will relate to the text found on the page (if there's an advertiser for whom there is a key word match). Take a look at this thread: http://nabble-support.1.n2.nabble.com/Advertising-Again-td7096038.html You obviously haven't discovered that you can fully embed a Nabble forum, or any of their other applications (blog, newspaper, etc) within a site, so don't need to just insert links it becomes part and parcel of your main site. Here are a couple of mine as examples: http://www.seahawk17.plus.com/forum.htm http://www.gregafloat.plus.com/blog/index.html

Hi,
that's right, but you must pay "remove ads" to use this feature. About redirecting, supposing that you've embedded your app correctly, take a look on this thread : http://nabble-support.1.n2.nabble.com/Can-I-direct-my-nabble-forum-to-one-page-of-my-blog-td7203261.html
My test forum.
