Late in the day I noticed the 'Remove Ads' option in the Settings menu. But so far I have not seen any ads. 1) Does this mean that as an admin I do not see them? 2) What about guests? Do they see them? 3) And what about registered users? Do they see them?

Not clear at all...

The ads are just not in place yet. If you want you can remove them even before they are shown.

But please can you explain whether they will appear to guests once they are registered? And also where the adverts will appear. I include a right-floated picture in my header and want to know if it's likely to screw up. Thanks.

Ads will be displayed to all users, but only admins will see the "Remove ads" link. At this point, we only show ads at the bottom of the topic page (above the footer).

Hm. Well that's not so good is it... Please keep me updated on progress with this one. I am determined that my site should be ad-free.

I am experiencing the same. Surely it has to be views from the time the credits have been purchased?

Sometimes it must be a delay from the payment acknowledgement or the page was cached. Also, make sure the page isn't cached on your browser.

Piratemaster it seems they are gone already, right?

I am also interested in getting rid of the ads on our forum. How can we do that?

Bear in mind that the post you quote was made a couple of months ago.

Create a new forum and Admin accounts get a notice saying you have 30 days grace before they will appear. There's a link to the ad removal sign-up page, so they never need appear.

I know. I started a new forum on Monday.

It's a shame that all accounts aren't covered together...

Anne, promotionally, new applications don't have ads for the first 30 days.
