Adding code to a forum post

Maybe I missed it but is there a way to add code and have it show in a forum post? I'm sure some if not many forums deal with web design topics and having to add characters so code shows isn't ideal.
Some forms allow [code][/code] blocks. That would be fine.

With Message in HTML Format checked, select More Options > Raw Text from the toolbar above. Any coding within the

<raw>

will be displayed but not be carried out... Note that I have had to use it here.
