I have a couple questions:
1. I was wondering if you could change my status from 'adult' to 'family-safe'? I accidentally picked this when I registered. My friends and I are hoping to make a private forum for elk hunting discussion 2. I had to register again in order to post this question. For some reason Nabble would not let me log in with my user name and password I had just created. When trying to log in and out on the embedded Weebly forum I had no problems. Can this be fixed. I only need one account but would like to be able to log into the "Free Support". Thanks! |
Post the URL of your Forum and when one of the Nabble Team spots your post they should be able to change your forum's status. That's to be expected. Every Nabble forum is generated by a different individual and not all can be guaranteed respectable. That's why each Nabble forum needs a separate login. Would you really want your details shared across all Nabble forums, so even the dubious have your details?

Thanks for your response! I am still confused as to why I had to create a separate login in order to post this question. It seems as though I could have logged in and posted to the help forum with my first registration.
The second time I registered I used the same exact information and it let me post to the help forum. Now I'm not sure If I have two duplicate accounts or if they are both the same one. I do know that now I am able to post just fine here and my embedded forum on Weebly still works fine. I love this free service but I guess am having a hard time navigating the site. Also should I wait now for a Nabble Admin to help with the Adult/Child Safe issue? I assume they are the ones who would have to fix that. |
I may have misunderstood the issue. Separate from what? From an earlier registration at "Nabble Support"? Or from the forum you created and embedded in your Weebly site? I think you are assuming that Nabble is Nabble - but it isn't. It's a million different forums created by a million different people - each entirely separate and bearing no relation to each other - other than the fact that they are all hosted on Nabble's servers. (The figure of a million may be exaggeration or an under-estimate, I have no idea!) There is no single site. There are many thousands of them, each with their own (admittedly similar URLs.) You do have to wait for the folk at Nabble to help with the Adult Status issue - but as I said before, you need to post the URL of your forum. I have no idea how many "Big Dutch"s there are with Nabble forums. They only thing I can say is that there is only one on the "Nabble Support" forum. You need to tell them the URL of the forum has been wrongly set.

Gotcha, the URL is http://discussion.1105327.n5.nabble.com/

I noticed at the bottom of my forum now says, "Trial period ends in 358 day(s)" instead of the 30 day period. Does this mean that my forum will not be free in 358 days?
|
Your site is not adult anymore. That's correct, for now, some sites are given 1 year trial period.
My test forum.

First off, thank you very much for your free support help and this awesome free service. I do however intend to put a lot of valuable hunting & scouting information into this forum and would hate to loose it after a year. Should I look for another free service that I can use for years to come? What options do I have with Nabble after the year is up? Just feeling out what my options are. Thanks again for the great support!
