A bug in the Change Permissions page

SteveM
When I added a new group to my forum, the page simply cuts off the last row of the Permissions screen rather than incorporating a horizontal scroll bar... can this please be fixed? My forum is embedded.

ALSO there is a lack of flexibility or ability to override certain groups; basically I want authenticated members to be able to read and write to the forum immediately, but when I set up a (test) group 'suspended', and removed the writing privilege for a test member, it did not work because the authenticated group overrides all other groups - plus it is uneditable (not that editing it would help much in this case).

The simple solution would be to be able to re-order the groups and therefore change the hierarchy, e.g. 'suspended' to the left of 'authenticated' and problem solved!

Is it possible to post a screenshot of the problem? Thanks for reporting this bug.

Why do you need a "suspended" group? We have the ban feature that is used to block users. They can view the forum (if permissions allow), but they cannot do anything else. Would that work for you?

Below is a screen shot of the problem (note right-most column cut off)

Also, the idea behind a "suspended" group is for members who have broken the rules of the forum, but usually are good posters - banning them seems too draconian; a suspended group would be temporarily punished before being reinstated. If I want to ban an individual, it would be for good, i.e. I no longer want them to return, so unless you can suggest a better way of doing this, I either have to ban them or let them continue, with no option in between.

I also get this because I have the forum embedded on my own web page which restricts the width even more. I can't see the Authors column.

Also, a couple of the grid entries have 'true' rather than a checkbox. Is that deliberate or just a styling bug?

I can confirm the bug in my embedded forum (HBBR)

It was driving me nuts because the Moderator column was missing! (the parent site width is limited for 1024 screens).  I have set up the redirect so its not easy to open the forum on the Nabble site.

BTW There is a similar issue with a "Gallery" type sub-forum...width issues chop the Viewed column on the top level forum.

I guess something has gone wrong with the HTML padding etc. Good luck because I know these HTML bugs can be annoying to fix!

cheers
Paul

I've answered your questions above, any chance of an ETA for a bug fix at least?

This issue has been fixed. Now you should see a scroll bar at the bottom of the table if it doesn't fit in the screen.
