[promoting Nabble] visited links do not change colour

Graham Perrin
To the eye of any unregistered user, the colour of links for topics that are read does not change after the link has been followed.

1. without logging in to Nabble

2. read a topic then accept the Nabble invitation to Return to forum:

3. the link colours within the forum remain unchanged; all content appears unread:

(Colours beyond the boundary of the forum do change to reflect that links have been followed.)

It should be easier to entice more users to Nabble — particularly users who are more accustomed to subscription-based e-mail — if first sights of Nabble allow anonymous users to:

• tell what is, and is not, read.

Cheers
Graham

Hi Graham,

I can't reproduce this. Your screenshot shows that you used Internet Explorer to test this. Can you reproduce this with other browsers too?

Firefox 3.0.6 on Mac OS X 10.5.6:

• no problem.

Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11 on Windows XP Pro 2002 service pack 3, security settings at their defaults, privacy relaxed to allow all cookies:

• problem persists.

Google Chrome on the same Windows computer:

• no problem.

I wonder whether symptoms at <http://n2.nabble.com/Distinguishing-between-read-and-unread-discussions-tp2367339p2385149.html> and thereabouts are relevant.
