okfn-help archive in mbox format, to be imported

Graham Perrin
A mbox to be imported to <http://n3.nabble.com/-f69206.html> has been sent to the Nabble address that I previously used for an import, but I received an automated response,

Please, is there an alternative address?

This one has been deleted. Please restore. Thanks.

Note to self: following restoration of the forum, reconnect with <http://n3.nabble.com/-tp69993p69993.html> — I can't guess how this was orphaned.

A good example of something that should not have been deleted.

I provided an .mbox to Hugo, for population of a forum in the n3 area.

Then, I began waiting quietly (without asking) for the parent <http://old.nabble.com/Open-Knowledge-f14960.html> to be moved from old Nabble.

Users of <http://old.nabble.com/Open-Knowledge-f14960.html> can not see the child, so it's unsurprising that web visits to the child were minimal.

Without the parent in its new position, the child waiting patiently was deleted. Poor baby.

Do you have the latest mbox file for this archive?

EDITED: Maybe we should just migrate the old archive to the new system?

That sounds like a fine idea to me, but I guess that we should check with a forum administrator there. I'll aim to catch someone from OKFN in IRC

Do you have the latest mbox file for this archive?
Sorry, no … let's defer a re-request of an mbox etc. until after a migration of OKFN stuff.

Thanks
Graham
