how to modify the reply address of eMails sent to non-users

nnako
Hi,

the Nabble forum application enables users to send eMails to addresses which are not registered with the particular Nabble page. So, by adding an arbitrary eMail address, let's say non-user@unknown.com, to the "Email this post to..." field at the bottom of the PostNewMessage window, virtually any user can receive the new post.

Now, when the eMail gets received by non-user@unknown.com, and this non-user presses the "reply" button of his eMail client, the reply eMail tries to get posted within the Nabble forum application it was originally created in. But: as the non-user is not a user, his eMail gets rejected which causes the non-user to receive an alert message, saying that his message has not reached its destination.

I'd like the reply address for non-users to be different than the one for regular users. Is there a way to selectively change the reply address for non-users? Where do I have to start looking for the appropriate code in NAML?

Thanks.

As the only macro that includes the text "Email this post to" is "send_node_as_email_input", I guess that's the place to start.

I'm not a NAML  expert but I guess it's just a matter of adding the code to insert a replyto header to the address of the current user.

Of course, the simple work around is to make posts by email, then it is easy to copy in any non users and their reply comes to you.
