How do you make a sub-forum so only one person can type in it (not including the forum owner)?

Create the sub-forum and click on "Options > Users > Who can view & post?". You can select "Members can participate". Then go to "Options > Users > Who are members?" and add the person as a member.

The important point to understand here is that the list of members can be different for forums and sub-forums. Even if the parent forum has "Members can participate" set, the list of members can be different and will determine who can actually participate in each node.

I am new to Nabble. Recently, I created a forum and clicked on Options and was able successfully to create a list of sub-forums and see various options for Users, Structure, etc, which I was able to use. Now when I click on Options, all I am offered is 'Subscibe by email'. What happened to all my other options? I seem to be locked out of administrator access to my own forum!

What am I doing wrong?

Yes, alas, I still have this issue. I am using Internet Explorer 7 under Windows XP Home Edition. (I once upgraded to Internet Explorer 8 but it so comprehensively wrecked my system, I had to hire a man to take it off!)
