(1) Will I lose my links and URLs related to the old forum?

No. Each URL sends a permanent redirect to the new URL on Nabble 2. For example, click on:
http://old.nabble.com/OSGeo.org-f18127.html
http://old.nabble.com/-OSGeo---304%3A-Usermap-for-OSGeo-wiki-tp20146107p20146107.html
Note that you will land on the exact page on Nabble 2.

Re: Redirection: example post no longer exists

Hugo <Nabble>
Thanks, I updated my post. The OSGeo list was migrated more than one year ago and it got deleted from the old Nabble because it was a duplication (actually, migrations are meant to reduce the size of the old Nabble database)

Redirection: example (thanks)

Double-checking that historic post-specific URLs redirect as expected, yes:

<http://www.nabble.com/Services-do-not-work-t1310316.html#a3491122> from March 2006 does find the correct post.

Thanks
Graham

Triple-checking, following the recent customisation of domain names: yes, the end result <http://grails.1312388.n4.nabble.com/Services-do-not-work-tp1313123p1313123.html> is good.

Kudos to Nabble for introducing the DNS changes with so few glitches!
