Recent Trend Micro "Internet Security" Changes Restrict Access to Nabble

JBW
This post was updated on .
A heads-up for you, Hugo..

This past week (Sunday or Monday) Trend Micro implemented a change in their "Internet Security" line of products that present a "warning" screen when accessing the n2.nabble.com website.  The warning lists Nabble2 as a "dangerous" website and prevents direct access to Nabble2.

I talked to Trend Micro customer support today for modifications to their software on my PC. (It just took a few minutes to alter).

The reason Trend Micro made this change is due to a Nabble user's ability to upload content to the Nabble site-- therefore a virus could be uploaded also.  (This was the essence of what she said, but she used a few terms that were more technical).

I also hope this gets fixed soon, is there a dialog with Trend? nabble has a bad reputation with WOT as well, but this seems because forums have been used to operate scams etc in the past?

I've sent an email to Trend Micro, but got no response yet. We are working on a feature that will probably solve this problem (it should be available in one or two months). I will try to keep in touch with Trend Micro while this problem is still an issue.

We are about to release custom domain names. This feature allows forum owners to use his own domain or a Nabble sub-domain on his forum. This will probably solve the issue.

Does anyone have this problem anymore. I checked the malicious URL tool on Trends homepage and they list Nabble as "non-malicious" now. Does this mean that the issue is resolved?
