Odd Subforum issue

I created a subforum for our reporters so that I that I can post information that is only for them.

I'd like the forum to be private and have set it up to be so.

The odd thing is that the NAME of the subforum appears in the DATE spot on the main app page. See it down by the bottom right:



Ideally I'd like this forum to be invisible to all but those who have permission. I thought I had seen this discussed.

But the fact that the word "reporters" appears in the date column almost advertises it.

I was able to hide this quirk by changing another post date in the parent forum to a FUTURE date so that it now shows at  the top level, but I'd rather not do that.
