Re: Moving Posts

Hi Claude,

To move a post first visit the place where you want it to go (the target). This can be one of three places and the action varies slightly depending on the target:

• The target Forum - if you want to make the moved post start a completely new topic then:
copy the URL in the address bar of your browser

• The target Topic - if you want to make the moved post become integrated into an existing topic then:
copy the URL in the address bar of your browser

• The target Post - if you want to make the moved post become a reply to an existing post then:
click the "More" link for the post and then select "Permalink" and copy the URL in the dialogue that appears.

Once you have copied the required target URL, then visit the post to be moved and under its "More" link select "Move post" and on the screen that appears paste in the copied URL and click the "Move post" button.

For others reading this post:
Note Claude's forum is not embedded.

For those with an embedded forum the first two instructions need to read:

• The target Forum - if you want to make the moved post start a completely new topic then:
click "Permalink" found towards the top right of the forum page and copy the URL in the dialogue that appears.

• The target Topic - if you want to make the moved post become integrated into an existing topic then:
click "Permalink" found towards the top right of the topic page and copy the URL in the dialogue that appears.
Volunteer Helper - but recommending that users move off the platform!
