Memebers, mods, and avatar help

Zaper_the_Thunder_Warrior
Ok, I've looked this forum up and down, but i can’t find how to make people a member of my forum. I have like 6 people register and no member! How do you become a member?

Secondly, I want to make one of the people a mod on my forums, how do I do that? Do they have to be a member?

Also, every time some one updates there avatar pic the forum makes a new account for them and reregisters them under the same name so they louse there post count! I have one member who was up to 72 posts and now they only have 12! Can anyone fix this?

You have to click on
"Options > Users > Who are members?" and
"Options > Users > Who can view & post?"

The post count is per root forum. So I guess you are talking about two different forums. Is this true?

No, its the same root forum, Elements Rage. The person I'm talking about is Morgan @ Chotskie. She got to 78 posts then uploaded a avatar image and the system made her a new account named Morgan @ Chotskie-2 and reset her post count. Between the two accounts she has hit 110 posts, but now it only shows up as 78 in one and 32 on the other. Is there a way to fix this, or at least add her account together?

In the "Who are members?" screen, each user has a "Is admin" checkbox that you can select.

This was actually a bug in the system and happened when that user changed her email address. We have fixed the bug, but we can't merge the two user accounts at this point. So that user will have to choose one of the accounts and use it from now on. We apologize for the inconvenience.
