Invitation emails rejected by recipients as spam - can I change text?

wgma-admin
I have just sent out about 60 invitations to join the West Gallery Music Association's new Discussion Forum. Several people have queried it as to why it looks like spam, or indeed a hoax, at worst phishing. Consequently the invitation was treated as spam, and ignored. To reduce this effect, can I (or Nabble) please alter the text of the email to make it look as if it comes from the Association, or at least me by name? I have set out the text below.

The first point is that the words DISCUSSION FORUM needs to be added to the subject line - I can fix that by changing the name off the Forum.

The second point is that the email comes from Nabble, quite clearly, and is even signed by them at the bottom. This is aligned to the name wgma-admin at the start of the message

The third, and possibly the most important point is the word subscribe, subscription etc, which gives the impression that money must change hands - hence phishing.

I would like it amended to the following - possible please?

This is the text:

You can alter the subject line and body text of the email by editing the macro

send_subscription_confirmation

As you request that Nabble issues the email that is sent it is entirely proper that the email comes from Nabble. You are, of course, free to send your own email if your potential subscribers are not familiar with the mechanics of mail lists and forums and need a fuller explanation of the reasons for and benfits of using a service like Nabble's.

Thirty years ago when the Internet and some of its terminology was new I might have accepted that "subscription" implied a payment was due, but not these days when every company and club web site you visit will invite you to subscribe to their mail list and every email you then receive includes the information on how to unsubscribe.

Thanks Greg.  I have changed both the heading and the description, which helps somewhat.  However, if possible, I need to change the text in the body of the email. The Association treasurer has now queried whether someone has usurped the association's website and people are also  not following the registration through to the final acceptance of them as registered members. There is quite definitely a resistance to the thought of subscribing, as association members already pay an annual subscription fee.

Websites I have set up by using software which does html for me, thus I am completely new to this form of editing a macro. Please can you point me to where to find the macro, and how one carries out alterations to it.  So far, the macros I have found that one can link to, appear not to include text as one would usually find in ordinary html. I'm that much of a beginner!  Thanks.

There's several points there. I'll respond as soon as I can with a detailed response. (Currently, accompanying my wife for an important hospital appointment.)

Greg, that of course takes precedence! I shall be away from home making
music in Italy from tomorrow, Thursday, to next Tuesday, so no hurry.
