Importing external archive

AndrewWilcox
I have read that you can import an external archive if we have the mbox file.  I do not have an mbox file, but I do have a series of txt files that contain the posts for each month of the past four years.  The txt files seem to be in the mbox format, but I can not be sure.  This is what they look like:

Hi Bob,

** blah blah blah **

Can these txt files be used to import the old list archive?  There are 54 txt files.  If this is possible, how do I get the files to you?

Thanks,

Andy

You can try to stitch them together. You  need to fix places like "editor at cmsreview.com" - they need to be normal email address. You can take a look at a good normal mbox file and see what it's like.

Once you have a good file, email it to us and we can try to import it.
