Import data from mailing list

felix_ant
Hi!

I want to import data from an old mailing list to a new forum in nabble 2.  How could I do it?

The new forum is:
http://n2.nabble.com/gvHIDRA-f3754916.html

I attach a file of backup.

Thanks for your attentions

Regards.backup.zip

Hello Hugo,

we've detected a problem and we don't know how we could resolv it. I sent a new topic to the list from nabble as a susbcriber for the list:

http://n2.nabble.com/prueba-de-envio-td3787670.html#a3787670

Nabble said that it was sent to the admin of the list and we must wait to be accepted but, in the mailing list don't arrive any message. I'm the admin of this list, and I didn't recived any messages from nabble asking for the accepttion.

We added to the mailing list the user that nabble proposed: lists+1254484493384-XXXXXXX@n2.nabble.com

Where is the problem? Is a problem of nabble configuration or of mailman configuration? How i could resolv it?

I see that new emails are being archived correctly. Please delete that message and post another one. I believe it was a temporary problem and it should work now. Please let me know whether the new message worked or not.

I create a new topic and the problem persist. The problem is that this message don´t arrive to the mailing list. I don´t recive this message from the list like subscriber or a notification message like an admin. Nothing.
I could read in the message in nabble this text:

"This message was sent to the gvhidra_soporte@listserv.gva.es mailing list 0 days, 4 hours and 41 minutes ago but has not yet been accepted.

It's normal to wait for a few hours or a day for your post to travel through the mailing list. But if it has been pending for longer than that, here are some possible reasons:

   1. you are not a subscriber of the mailing list;
   2. the mailing list server was down or slow when you first tried to send the message;
   3. your post is still waiting for moderation.
      Learn more

Please check each case and solve the problem. To resend your message, post it again in the forum.
A pending post is unlikely to get any response. You should delete it if it is no longer needed."

I believe that your mailing list server is blocking Nabble somehow. Do you have access to the server configuration or logs? Please take a look and see if you can find some configuration that makes the server less rigorous in this regard.

Hi!

We checked all the configuration options of mailman and we have it like an other list that is working perfectly. This list is http://n2.nabble.com/gvSIG-usuarios-f2000052.html. We have the list in the same server listserv.gva.es and we checked it with the admin.

We believe that the problem could be a bad configuration of our nabble forum. Is it possible?

We detected another issue. When we go to http://www.nabble.com/ and search "gvHIDRA" don't appear any result. Is it correct?

I tried to subscribe to the gvHidra list, but the moderator must approve my request. I want to make a test on that list. It is unlikely that the forum has a bad mailing list configuration.

We use google custom search to find forums and posts. So google probably needs some time to crawl the website. Your forum should be available soon in those results.

I just posted a message in the gvHidra forum and my post was accepted:
http://n2.nabble.com/Prueba-desde-nabble-tp3829453p3829453.html

It is funny to ask, but are you sure you are a subscriber of that list?

My topic worked and went through the list. So something happened to your email. Maybe the first step for you is to unsubscribe and subscribe again?
