Image Issue

My forum is having an image issue.  

Images show in emails people receive, only if the message is sent to the forum via email.

If the message is originated in the forum and the image is inserted - it does not show in the email when received.

Ideas on the problem?  This just started a day or so ago

It is not, and actually now we have all sorts of other issues. I can no longer manage my members forum category subscriptions, search for members, and people who shouldn't be getting messages are receiving them!
