This would be a big benefit:

- Make the posting username in the forum a link to the user
- When "Ban user" is selected, default the switches for "ban" and "delete all posts" to ON instead of off

These two changes alone would cut about 60% of the clicks necessary to actually ban a spammer.

I agree with your second suggestion.

I am not clear I understand your first. When I click on any username link it takes me to their profile screen. That seems to be where you want it to go.

For the first:
For me, I have to open a post by the user I want to select, only then does their username become a link, even though the username is visible in the list of posts.
Good news for the second :)

Hi, do you have instructions for how I can enable recaptcha or two-factor auth?

My forum has gone quiet for a month, and I just looked in now and it is FULL of spam.

Any advice appreciated, for the last year on my forum I have spent a lot more time banning and deleting posts from users than I have responding to real users.
Are you aware that Nabble defaults allow those in the "Anyone"group  to post. Administrators have no control over who joins either that or the "Registered" group, so most Administrators will edit User Permissions as one of their first actions after creating a forum.

I have some guidance on this on my GregHelp forum:
