Emailing Through Nabble Doesn't Work Correctly

On our forum we can email through Nabble but you cannot tell that from the screen.  What you see is as shown below, with the "Waiting for ..." blinking on and off for quite a while and then eventually the captcha times out and says "Verification expired."

The email goes through, but when people don't think it has they send it again.  And again.  And...
