Created forum, then registered, now I can't manage it

Keith Day
I created the forum Pensham Reading Group in a Weebly web page. I entered owners name as Keith Day, made a few test posts, and a few friends did the same.

Then, when I saw how well it worked, I registered Keith Day with Nabble, logged-in and was able to delete my test posts, which had transferred to my registered identity.

But I can't remove the posts my friends made.  I think this is because the owner of the forum is still listed as "Keith Day - unregistered/anonymous user".  How do I gain control of my forum?

Thanks,

Keith

This is an issue with Nabble.

You can't delete others posts only posts made by you can be deleted but you can as forum owner remove posts.

Be carefull with this though.

If you remove private posts from a private forum they become public discussions that anyone can join in on.

Another issue with this is that you can delete your post but this will have the effect of removing rather than deleting responses to your post which os really annoying.

Have a look at the following discussion.

It might help!

Thanks - that's worrying, but not my immediate problem.

I don't have the right to remove a post at all because it is the other Keith Day (the unregistered/anonymous one) who owns my forum. The subsequently registered Keith Day is not the owner.

By registering (after finding out how good Nabble is) I have lost control of the forum I created.

I just set the forum owner to your registered account.

What happened is that you created a forum as an anonymous user, if you register from the same browser, then the anonymous users becomes you. But you probably cleared cookie or went to a different computer to register in that session, then there is no way for us to connect you with the anonymous user account.
