Created forum & blog..

icwaportal
Hi,
I have created forum and blog application in my account and embedded both in same blog(blogger.com) as pages.
Do my visitors  need to log-in separately for both applications??

Can i ask to fill up a separate form while registering for nabble application on my blog?

I think this software is great... I have put a Forum, Blog and Newspaper on my website... I remember reading somewhere that you cannot use the same ID name because it will already be in use on Nabble... :(

However, as I would like to have the same ID on all of them, I have been changing various things, eg. email addresses... and I have got my admin name on the Forum and Blog... but can't repeat it for the Newspaper. Is this a software issues, or a legitimate method of reusing names?

It would be really helpful to be able to easily use the same name!

yes make a forum then create a sub forum and change that subforum aplication to blog, then the users wont have to sign up again it will be joint membership.

I prefered the old system were nabble usernames were cross system.

Oooops... I've messed that up then!

Can I move a Blog into a Forum? But I've set up different pages in my website's menu?

That works great....
Just embed blog- subforum as new page in your blog/website...

I did initially start with a similar sort of structure, but this meant that a visitor, viewing, say the Forum from the website Forum page, could access the Blog from the Forum page too... which seemed a bit confusing...

And if I embedded the Forum on the website Forum page, and the Blog on the website Blog page, from both of these pages a visitor can get to the 'overall' menu... with both Forum and Blog sub-forums...

If I have done this correctly, then I guess that it would be good if this 'overall' menu... list of sub-forums... could be hidden / made invisible... only visible / accessible to the administrator...

OR am I doing something wrong?

i have similar problem:

I've created a sub-forum in my forum, changed it to blog.
The problem is :
1. the Blog appears as a folder under Forum and I don't want that as I have separate Blog page;
2. The root of the Blog is the Forum, I don't want people to be able to go to the Forum from the Blog.

Now my question is how do I make the  Blog folder from the forum invisible and how do I make the Blog the root in the tree?

Thanks.
