Change in Forum Search Function?

Harvey
It seemed like a while ago when you used the search box, NO MATTER WHERE YOU WERE, it searched all forums and subforums. Now it seems to search only the forum you are in, or if you are at the top level it searched all forums and subforums.

Is this so?  Did the way the search works change?

Can't say I have done the analysis, but I'd expect it to search the current forum and its sub-forums.

If a forum is well-organised, searching parent forums would produce too many irrelevant results.

Wasn't saying it's a bad thing, was just curious if it had changed.

The people online function is still universal - even though it will say "People online in XYZ subforum" it really tells you everyone that is online.
